This past week at the Essanay Open Mic we did something that seems to be becoming more of a regular thing: a feature performer. In this case, it was The Real Placebos, a talented local Americana instrumental band, featuring the familiar face of Pat McClellan behind that double bass (pictured on the left there).
It was a great night altogether with a couple of open mic newbies (including the talented magician, Kim - another first: a magician!) and many of the old favorites we’ve come to know and love like the up and coming Raul Morales, whom you can see below in this week’s slide show.
