"The Shoe," has been known for live music since it opened as "The Cherokee" in 1943. The current ownership named it from "Skip's Tavern" in 2011 and it still boasts historical touches like a wall-sized old west mural (purportedly created in exchange for bar credit), and even a few seats rescued from the old Candlestick Park.
The oldest running bluegrass jam in the city, still run by Mr Frank Holmes when he is able. Mostly advanced players.
