Opened in 2012 after a massive clean up effort of what was a dumping ground, Cooley Landing is part urban renewal, part open space preserve. It's a waterfront park with a community facility that hosts public and private events for the city of East Palo Alto.

The Friday Night Vibes open mic has been going on at different locations for going on six years and runs weekly on Fridays during the summer. The length of performers sets depends on how many folks sign up. The event is a community gathering with free refreshments, drawings, and $50 gift cards for performers put together in conjunction with Climate Resilient Communities.
