Right in Downtown Lafayette, Lamorinda music was founded by two former UC Berkeley Cal Band members. It's an all-purpose music shop offering lessons, rentals, and even a lovely 65-seat performance venue called " The Big Room " that can be rented.

Front Porch Music is a Lafayette-based organization focused on adult hobby musicians and emerging artists. The organization organizes open mic events at La Morinda's Big Room, showcase events in partnership with the Town Hall Theatre, and songwriter workshops in partnership with West Coast Songwriters.
